There was a lot of backstabbing and jockeying for positions, though. Plus the egos of the execs and some staff were out of control. Super long hours and very low pay.

If you're looking for money, this is the wrong business. Feld will probably pay you half of what you could earn elsewhere, that being said the opportunity to work for the circus was worth the pay cut. If you're assigned to a show, you can be expected that your job will last as long as you are in your immediate good graces. Hierarchy is holy at Feld Entertainment and any problem will be dismissed if you skip a level of management to deal with a problem. Also, your job is never secure. Regardless of your position or how well you are doing, there will be a budget or managerial decision to remove you without cause. The only good news is that the company will pay to send you and your possessions home. That being said, make sure you have family or friends to fall back on if your number comes up.
