Pros

Friendly atmosphere, great coworkers, positive attitude from leadership, company tries hard to be a good employer

Cons

Favorites advance at astonishing rates, often without time to prove value or competence in roles. (2 new roles in a year) Everyone else is pretty much ignored or taken for granted. No career path or counseling on how to achieve next level. Lots of long term employees who form an impenetrable old guard network and who make a lot of poor decisions. This creates an odd organizational structure in some areas as senior jobs are created for favorites.

Pros

Going home at the end of the day.

Cons

- Being timed for using the restroom. - Outdated equipment. - Lack of leadership - Lack of coverage. - Very much a call center. - Poor/dangerous facility grounds. In the year I've been here, there has been two active shooters reported on the campus. Break ins are somewhat common in the parking area. You will be absolutely exhausted at the end of the workday supporting many systems with very little coverage, poor performers, and lack of guidance. If that's not enough, Ferguson severely underpays its employees even compared to lesser support positions. If you have an opportunity elsewhere, please consider your options. This place is the very definition of overworked/underpaid.

Pros

bad pay worse managment bad environment stuffy culture questionable ethics

Cons

new hires are almost exclusively from contract/temp agencies. Employees are told they will convert to full time after 3 months but most take longer than 9. It was explained to us that they prefer contractors because we can be fired without cause and are pretty much expendable. We were definitely treated thusly
