Pros

Ferguson is a very strong company with a good reputation and footprint across its divisions. Good benefits and compensation opportunities (mainly for sales focused folks).

Cons

Pay potential is great once you get a pipeline going, however it is very difficult to maintain. Aside from upper management, outside sales folks are the only individuals with financial incentive to meet/exceed budget (and continuing to do so). This results in a very burned out and disengaged support group (inside/counter sales, warehouse workers, branch managers, etc.). In my experience, it is VERY difficult to continually provide good service to your customers when you are the only one who truly cares and has skin in the game. If you want to make sure things get done the right way, you will need to work a ton of hours.

Pros

Great company if you work hard and put your head down.

Cons

45-50 hour work weeks and little vacation, flexibility of schedule.

Pros

I work from home. The hours are flexible.

Cons

Management are not supportive or encouraging. Only point out the bad. I work for a name brand company that Ferguson has taken over. We are still under the name brand. Company within a company.
