      Pros

      Great long term growth opportunities, promotes a healthy work environment especially between immediate superiors and associates. Depending where you are it can be a recession proof industry to be in. Good health care and retirement benefits especially if you have dependents.

      Cons

      In order to get the long term growth benefits you must work there for several years before getting a good promotion. Terrible vacation and sick days. Starting salary isn't great. Stuck in the past technologically. You will work long and hard hours.

      1. Leadership gives clear vision. 2. Leadership cares for personal health and safety. 3. Currently investing into a hybrid cloud solution, so you will get to develop understanding and skills needed for Azure and Oracle cloud. 4. You will commonly hear the term "Ferguson Family" and that applies to everyone who wears the blue polo. From branch associates, to HQ associates, and even IT, everyone is working together to keep the business going and the customer happy. You will meet some amazing and talented people within Ferguson.

      Cons

      1. Ferguson clearly has trimmed back the fat and is working as lean as possible. 2. Increased workload over recent years. Some days you will feel you are constantly having your nose to the grindstone without any sort of reprieve. 3. As Ferguson is moving to a cloud environment, there are clear missed opportunities in the creation of processes are to be handled by various teams.
