Pros

Friendly coworkers, it gave me more formalized experience in sales, and got to work as a point of contact for lots of business to business sales.

Cons

Hourly pay for Inside Sales and minimum incentive pay. Sales is a generous term it’s much more sales support and customer support. Most of the time was spent handling customer service issues directly or on behalf of outside sales or showroom consultants. It was an always on call center for the region that wore people down. Additionally you typically had to work at least 1 Saturday a month. Throw in twice a year inventory just to pile on that. And to make matters worse management began cutting back on overtime so you had to take time off during the week to make up for extra time worked on the weekend. Which naturally led to a large pileup of requests.* *overtime policy might have changed since I left
