TOXIC Leadership. Leadership often looks at staff as the problem and are unsupportive overall. The agency appears to care far more about their financial bottom line than helping their clients. Ethics can also be merely a suggestion. Pay is poor compared to local standards, and they expect you to work long hours/weeks due to their staffing issues (i.e., taking in more clients than feasibly possible for $). Work more for less pay and less appreciation. If you advocate for yourself or your clients, but it does not favor the agency, they will probably fire you (based on coworker report). You are seen as disposable here. Supervisors preach an open door policy. being able to “living in the gray”, but will reprimand you if they do not agree with you. Client communication/transparency is extremely lacking.
