Pros

*The company actively encourages new ideas and is leading the industry on its product, marketing, and analytics *The organizational structure is very flat and Fetch puts emphasis on the quality of the idea and not the title of the person who had the idea *Very small and nimble for an insurance company. We are able to very quickly pivot as new challenges arise *People here are genuinely passionate about our mission of helping pets and pet parents and if you are a crazy animal person you are in very good company *Outstanding financial performance with one of the lowest loss ratios in the industry while exceeding growth targets *Collaborative and team oriented environment. People are wiling to provide a helping hand even if it's "not their job" *Culture is pay for performance and excellent performance is values and compensated well for *Work is really interesting - pet insurance is an evolving product and an unsolved market (at least in the US and Canada) and there is tons of opportunity to make seismic shifts to the bottom line with new products, operating processes, and marketing strategies

Cons

Honestly this is the best company I have worked for so far - for me anyway. I get to work with people who are exceptionally bright, hard working, and collaborative who also share my values of helping animals. I don't have a ton of cons from my perspective. The main con for some folks is that Fetch is not a 9 to 5. We have ambitious targets and work load and expectations are much higher than working for a large well established insurance carrier. If pet insurance does not genuinely excite you Fetch is likely not the best spot

Pros

You get 9.5% commission off of all your sales. If you’re lucky, the shelter you’re working with feels inclusive and welcoming. The health insurance is nice and you do get a 401k. Your “weekends” are during the week, not on Saturday or Sunday. Salary is $45,000 with the opportunity to make more. The CEO legitimately seems like he wants transparency for sales. The new shelter portal reflects his values.

Cons

It becomes a numbers game for your sales. If it looks like you might miss your sales mark you’re encouraged to come in on your weekends to make up the numbers. April 2024 though the shelter sales team as a whole looked as if we would miss our goal, per the email by Ryan Heron who is the Chief Commercial Officer. There was a giant push for everyone, even agents who have met their goals, to come in on days off to help the team meet it. That week ended with a lot of pressure from management with another email from Ryan Heron saying that we had record breaking sales. It was a lot of push to set a goal. Ultimately, management does care about their staff. They want the numbers. They don’t foster a work/life balance. The salary is $45,000. Though during my interview there was a discussion that I had the potential to make up to $100,000. I think they said that to rope me in more than anything. No overtime. Your salary. Finding the employee handbook is very difficult. Sales managers seem to not like the new shelter portal for booking sales. It seems like they would prefer the policy be booked over transparency.

Pros

Fetch has THE BEST open communication between employees I have ever experienced, I have been able to truly balance my work and home life (even while working from home). My work stress level has gone down so low its almost non-existent. My ideas I've had have been listened to and not pushed aside. Great starting pay, Training is very involved and thorough.

Cons

Always room for improvement but i have zero cons at the moment.
