Pros

It is easy because your job becomes repetitive. They have nice benefits that convince you to stick around.

Cons

There is no end to the work load. From the second you pick up the phone, you will take call after call for 8-10 hours, day after day, year after year. I have been here a few years and have talked to 1 or 2 people who actually enjoy working here. Trust me or not, but if you make the move I want you to think about the moment you read this and doubted what you're reading.

Pros

Fidelity has some okay benefits, but nothing special. The people are the best asset, and the company does not even remotely deserve any of them.

Cons

- Micromanagement from C-level executives - "One size fits all" mentality - Managers have *NO* discretion to do what is best for their teams (or the company) - Weird compensation structure. (Base pay is ***WAY*** below the industry.) - Many benefits (401k match, etc) do not kick in until you've been there a year and have a ridiculous vesting period. - Only about 5% of employees get promoted in a given year. Get ready for the "Hunger Games" to compete against your peers for good raises and promotions. - Probably the worst handling of a layoff that I've seen in my 30+ year career. - Heavy-handed RTO policy. Many workers were hired remotely during Covid, told they could alway work remotely, and now are having to quit because they can't adhere to the attendance policy. - The office environment is the worst I've ever seen. Desks side-by-side (not even cubicles). Super loud. Super distracting.

Pros

Good benefits comparing to other companies

Cons

Unethical manager. Manager did discrimination based on language. They knew my wife was having a baby and I was getting ready to go for parental leave. And just two weeks ago my daughter was due to be born the manager laid me off. When I asked for a reason he didn’t have an answer. Just gave me random reason saying HR randomly picked. He purposefully kept all telugu speaking people and because I was not got rid of me. I worked more than 6 yrs in Fidelity and when I was about to be off for parental leave they just decided to steal my hard earned leave from me. This is inhuman. I had shared with him that I was the only bread winner in the house and still without any reason they decided to put me through lot of suffering
