Pros

The benefits package Fidelity offers the employees to be apart of their cult.

Cons

Jackie Lawson was correct about Fidelity Investments retaliating against employees that are reluctant to cooperate with their illegal activities. Fidelity (upper management) glean personal information and use it to laden the individual with embarrassment amongst their peers as punishment. Fidelity Investments definitely practice unorthodox discipline methods to gain control over their employees.

Pros

Amazing benefits - 401k (100% up to 7% matched), profit sharing, medical/dental, paid holidays, paid vacation, gym membership reimbursement, tuition assistance, student loan pay off, ability to work from home in many departments/roles... I could go on and on! Great work environment. Nice facilities. Great culture. Awesome folks to work with. Management was wonderful.

Cons

In my department (Learning & Development), there are constant changes and reorganizations, thus leading to shifts in teams and eventually lay offs. Fidelity is a chronic "reorg and then lay off" company and I experienced it firsthand after being with them for 11 years, along with many others in my group - some with long tenure and even more with incredible talent. Since the owner, Mr. Johnson, stepped down and allowed his daughter, Abby, to take over, so much has changed and not in a good way. It is really unfortunate.

Pros

Fidelity has a great name. Customers trust Fidelity. The firm has tried to come up with innovative benefits to retain talent.

Cons

Pay is low relative to the industry. Fidelity's best days are behind it, but still a strong company. Unfortunately management has evolved over recent years and now there is a bit of a toxic culture, where appreciation is not shown or felt by the rank and file. The "new breed" of branch management is primarily to blame for this.
