Pros

Good culture. Good incentives. Small enough that you can make decisions and get things done for clients.

Cons

Staffing issues. Understanding was limited for backend customer service reps when assistance was needed to escalate issues more time should be spent on training for the reps that handle internal issues to support their co-workers better in house.

Pros

Fifth Third provided me with the the opportunity to learn and grow everyday. Leadership valued opinions. Core values of the company were lived and measured throughout the organization. Clear commitment to customers and doing things the right way. Benefits were very competitive and at times differentiated vs. peers and other companies outside of industry. I had the opportunity to grow my career across different divisions and increase my salary and paid time off. Moreover, I was able to take advantage of parental leave and adoption reimbursement. I chose to leave the organization to run towards a new opportunity more aligned to my passions vs. away from something. Thankful for all my time at Fifth Third!

Cons

A heavily regulated business like banking that Fifth Third is in can create a stressful environment at times depending on your role in the organization. I found a lot of this is driven by the complexities of the regulations that must be followed. For me I burdened a lot of that in different roles, whether justified or not, and at the end of my tenure I wanted to be in a role more focused on people development and employee experience. Again, this is not a con of Fifth Third Bank, but a fact of what it takes to be in Banking - you must understand regulations and ensure that your employees and processes are aligned to those - which Fifth Third holds itself to the highest standard. I just chose to pursue a different path outside of Banking so I didn't have that level of burden in my job in my career path going forward.
