Pros

Paid appropriately, that’s about it

Cons

Bullied constantly. The senior staff is obsessed with quotas and would run you over with a car to get there. Favoritism runs rampant. It’s the most toxic place I’ve ever worked.

Pros

Filevine as a whole is a great product with a really great customer base. They have good vision on where to take the product and the direction its going.

Cons

Management is terrible, communication is AWFUL, they will fire people with no explanation or warnings or anything, they work people to the bone and then treat them like crap.

Pros

Filevine is a uinique place where you can learn the ins and outs of law firms while dipping your toes into a legal tech startup. Their CEO, Ryan Anderson is amazing and driven, and I appreciated his communication and what he has done so far. I'm willing to give a 2 star and not a one because of Ryan. -Sales ops team is awesome -Partnerships is great and work really well across departments -HR is responsive and easy to work with

Cons

-Filevine could have been better about setting proper expectations for me and for others who still work their. There tended to be a trend of being strung along in cases of promotion and not just with me. -Filevine as a whole could work on avoiding nepotism. Top performers were considered second place to those who were willing to go the "buddy-buddy" route. -Sales team was forced back into office before COVID-19 had really died down because it was for "the good of Filevine" even though several individuals expressed concerns with going back. A high percentage of the team were infected and sick with COVID-19 shortly after. -AE/SDR relationships were egregious for a long time. I can count on 1 hand how many Filevine AE's were genuinely kind across the board and not just when they needed another good opp to hit their number. Other than that, there was a very low level of respect from the AE team for the SDR's. -When talking around promotion, my team was told to start a conversation with the manager of the team we wanted to go to but were later criticized for following this direction. -When sharing ideas, manager would often take credit for ideas and when we tried sharing them with others above them we were criticized. This dissuaded us from sharing ideas or being open to collaborate with my manager when we saw holes in the ship that needed attention. -In terms of pay, Filevine got better but be sure to negotiate pay before you say "Yes" to any offers. For a long time Filevine was a fan of low balling hard. Getting a promotion and pay increase later is very difficult. -Add 6-12 months to any timeline they give you about moving up. -At Filevine, Sales Management has made it clear that they are only hiring outside talent to be an AE. If being at a company that will move you to that position is your goal, go somewhere else.
