Pros

-As a busy, busy, homeschooling mother of six, I have never had a job that I loved more before I started working for Parrot! -I love that I can schedule my own hours, be home with my kids every day and that I can pause at a moment's notice if one of them needs me. -I have always loved writing and equally, learning about anything having to do with law, and totally should've been a lawyer, so for me (a stay-at-home mom), this is just the next best thing! -I love the community feeling on the Slack Channel where we can communicate with our co-workers, the ability to support and assist each other in real-time, and how it all feels like we are really working together on one big goal. I love my Parrot family! -I love aiming to produce top-quality transcripts for various clients and feeling like I have helped them in some way to reach their goals. -Finally, I also love the fact that the pay is in the form of direct deposit and that working for Parrot has improved my family's living situation and has given me an opportunity to supplement our income.

Cons

-Learning curve -Time-consuming -Pay rate could be slightly higher -At times (not very often) there can be a lack of files/available work

Pros

1. Competitive pay — Filevine is generous from the get-go. 2. Impressive talent — Filevine attracts and maintains phenomenal talent in all areas of the organization. 3. Ask and ye shall receive — obviously the company can't just give everyone everything they want. I have, however, been extremely impressed and grateful for the opportunity to expand my role and learn and grow with increased responsibility. 4. Leadership cares — leadership genuinely cares about you as an employee. As they navigate strategic decisions, it's not just about the good of the company. Beyond that, direct managers are graceful and understand the need for work-life harmony. I feel empowered to take time off when needed. Uncapped PTO doesn't hurt either ;) 5. Growing pains — many might see this as a negative, but because of Filevine's continued dedication to sustainable, thoughtful growth it feels like a positive to me. No company is perfect, but Filevine strives to maintain integrity and longevity of their people and product. Bonus: the people really are great. Amazing scholars and professionals to learn from, collaborate with, and a general sense of support and camaraderie across departments.

Cons

1. Benefits could use a little work; I don't feel they match up with similar companies in the area. No 401(k) is a real bummer. 2. Office space is lacking — we are growing too fast! We are slowly migrating up to SLC full-time, but that can sometimes be a stretch. A more central location like Lehi would be amazing ;) 3. Resources can sometimes feel scattered — they are working on consolidating resources and information in a sustainable way. I am excited to adopt these new methods and hopeful for its success!

Pros

Filevine is amazing. It's growing fast, which results in dynamic teams everywhere you look. Employees and teams put their best foot forward day in and day out. This is the company where you can plant your skills and truly grow. Team input is embraced, accountability is supported, and where the future of this industry lives. It's fun, you will notice people smiling and laughing, and genuinely interested in your well being. The benefits shine above the competition and they get better and better.

Cons

This is not the place to tune out of your business day and melt into the wall. Many projects and tasks require attentive problem solving, so if you love group think, then move along. The nature of a fast environment means owning your work and taking chances sometimes. If this isn't your style, then you may want to look elsewhere.
