Pros

It is a job that pays the bills. This could be a great company once they clean house starting from the top.

Cons

This is the strangest work environment I’ve ever experienced. The training approach at this company has been extremely unstructured and hands-off. Rather than a formal onboarding process with clear goals or expectations , new employees are expected to learn entirely through outdated notes, scattered documentation, and lengthy webinars that aren’t even helpful to their clients. There’s no guided walkthrough of the systems, and very little support. The expectation is to self-teach while preparing to lead classes and support others — even before mastering the material yourself. This leads to a constant state of confusion and lack of confidence across the team, since we’re often just reading information we haven’t truly had time to absorb or apply. Despite the lack of support, the expectations remain high. The environment is dry, disconnected, and discouraging. Managers are not allowed to perform floor-level work, but also don’t engage meaningfully to help improve training or morale. The overall result is a toxic culture where employees feel set up to fail rather than empowered to succeed. No expectations for management. Not to mention vacation must be approved by the PRESIDENT. They control when and how you can use PTO and you better not be a minute late with this salary position but they can take up 4-5 days of your life 7a-10p every April for user conference which is required with no accommodation or compensation to the staff. Hotel stay is about $500. Good news is they give out management titles like it’s a candy, no experience needed.

Pros

Ok pay, starting to get more benefit options, 10 days PTO, separate Vacation based on years at the company, most of the employees are great to work with. Inflation bonuses were given several times throughout the pandemic. A 10% across the board raise was also given to most all employees in 2021. No raises were given after that, just bonuses. When raises are given annually they are generous in comparison to other companies. They do give a generous 401K match up to $7K, that depends on the performance of the company each year. The VP of System Support is awesome. Very personable. Talks to you as a person.

Cons

Pay is less than average … was told by my manager I am not paid enough, managers have no say in your salary or bonuses, multiple people who you don’t have daily, weekly or monthly interaction with have say in your annual reviews, there is a section in your self review that asks what can the company or your manger do to make your job easier when you answer they don’t give you an answer back that is helpful or have some excuses why you can’t have what you requested… NOT very helpful why fill it out if it won’t be addressed or they won’t make accommodations to help you!! You ask for tools to help make your job better to improve customer service, but it goes on deaf ears. Told when getting an annual review that they never give Exceptional ratings, but they expect you to be exceptional. There is no rhyme or reason to raises or bonuses on your review. Benefit out of pocket is outrageous ($6350 per person). Your salaried but they watch your time down to the minute. Can only take PTO in 4 or 8 hour increments. Some managers spew back the employee handbook as an answer instead of talking to you or working out a solution. You’re required to be in the office 3 days and WFH 2 days, but new hires cannot WFH until they complete 6 months at the company, if you take PTO during that week that counts as your WFH day. There has been about a 50% turnover rate in the last 2-3 years.
