Terrible Culture and Non-Competitive Pay

Pros

The technology stack is modern, so you will be able to learn new skills.

Cons

Corporate management doesn't care about their employees. The common trend at Finish Line is to work employees until they have nothing left. Working 3-4 positions in the company is normalized, after covid most of the technology leadership left to go to competitors, instead of reevaluating priorities they simply forced everyone else to pick up the slack. Pay is significantly lower than at other places. Once employees starting bringing this up, Finish Line adjusted salaries across the board and it was still lower than at other places, typically by 10k or more. Management doesn't want to hear how to improve things, they simply want you to agree with the poor practices. Multiple people I know were let go for trying to advocate for their team members.

Great Benefits Questionable Culture

Pros

Unlimited PTO, company pays majority of insurance premiums and they haven’t let our cost rise in 5+years, tons of volunteer opportunities, free gym and trainer in the office, massages on site, free med check on site.

Cons

The culture in merchandising isn’t great because there is no accountability and huge disconnect between management and individual contributors.
