      Lies, Abuse, No Balance

      Pros

      If you work with good people shifts go by fast. Prepping orders is fun and floor sets CAN be fun.

      Cons

      Management lies about promotions. They prefer their JD stores over Finish Line stores and consider their employees for promotions before FINL employees. They have something called the JD Academy and they say they'll send you and they keep telling you that "you'll go to the next one", what they don't tell you (until 24 hours before) is that you must interview for the academy they can't just send you. No matter how much you do right, do one thing wrong and you will be dragged through the mud. You will be belittled like you failed and don't know how to do your job. Upper management at the District and Regional level DO NOT CARE if you are understaffed and overworked. They will not send help from other stores. There is no balance or separation between your personal and professional lives.

      work from home is all that is good..

      Cons

      No respect for anyone's life, if your looking for a job but wish to keep your social and personal life this is not the place....They will rather hunt you down even while in recovery (after surgery) in order to ask if you are coming to work. Even when you told them weeks in writing that you have surgery they seem to be deaf to anything not regarding them. They punish you for not showing up to a meeting that all they do is play games and talk crap. When you actually missed the meeting and were spending time with your family...so you get dinged for that... I have more stories but hey its all good.....The customers treat you like vermin because of mistakes and policies created by the company which are outrageous and you have no control over....They will set you up for failure when you voice your opinion, so have no personality if you wish to work here.

      - 30% discount on full and sale-priced items - lots of youthful workers, fun environment - increase your knowledge on shoes and the sneaker culture

      Cons

      - upper management is very difficult on the management - not getting a commission on things you sell, even though the job requires you to sell the product as much as you can
