Pros

The people and customers. There are many people that work for the company that have no idea what their potential really is and how good they really are at their job. I really enjoyed helping customers and talking to them.

Cons

The company cares very little about their employees. This wasn't always true, but has slowly gotten that way. Upper management has all changed in the past few years, and NOT for the better. As a store manager your opinion doesn't matter and is unwanted, unless your picking up a million dollars per year. I have seen so many great people come and go, due to regional managers and corporate struggling how to "figure it out"!

Pros

The benefits are great. They provide dental/health/vision to all full time managers. Depending on what location you work at, that will depend on your commission and salary.

Cons

The benefits are great. I have been with the company for 7 years and moved my way up to a Manager in Waiting position. You really have to kiss ass to your DM to move up in the company. Unfortunately, I can't do that so I won't be getting a store anytime soon. The pay for a manager and assistant manager is decent. It pays my bill. The pay for a sales associate is crap. It is commission and base pay so your minimum wage is different in the state you work at. California minimum wage with commission is 6.50. Raises happen every 6 months IF your store manager EVEN fills out your evaluation. Otherwise you will NEVER get a raise. AND raises are literally 25 CENTS!!!!

Pros

Great company if you like shoes and sports and if you like the fast pace environment of sales and customer service.

Cons

They really work you long hours as a manager and it is really no wiggle room for not performing to the sales plan. If you don't hit plan hit the door.
