Pros

- Remote work - Great work-life balance. - Great team members! - Rather easy workload - Great tools for project management - Simplified communication tools (finally only using 1 instead of 4+)

Cons

- CEO surrounded by "yes" people - Track record of promoting inexperience, hiring the wrong experience, and those with the right experience leaving. - Leadership privately always feeling the need to apologize for the CEO behavior - Leadership continually advising us how to "avoid a target on your back from CEO" - No continuing education opportunities --- so there is no career growth. - No continuous feedback (good or bad)

Pros

Amazing work-life balance, with great vacation and out time policies 100% work at home Friendly teammates Figure out the secret handshake and be promoted over and over

Cons

Awful health insurance with high premiums and barely any coverage A largely software company without technologically proficient leadership Chasing a software dream they can't catch with out-dated software products and piddly enhancements Over-promising and under-delivering to obtain clients Ignores suggestions from qualified employees Poor financial health Layoffs and expecting remaining employees to pick up the slack

Pros

With great QA and leadership, I'm able to keep raising the bar with my work and watch my abilities grow. I feel like I'm finally working with people that want to get the best product out the door without settling with "good enough." We are also constantly evolving our communication methods to reduce email clutter. I love not getting emails with vague or empty subject lines and getting a quick Slack message instead. It also eliminates the endless game of email tag. The CEO also uses our benefits package in a way that makes sense. Instead of just handing out bonuses, she works with HR to create tax-free contributions to help get us more money in the long run. The company also put a finance consultant on retainer so we can have any and all of our money questions answered, as a group or in a private chat, and at no cost to us — that's better than any ping pong table in my book!

Cons

As with any remote company, if you're not a self starter, it might be difficult to get into the swing of working remotely and keeping your motivation. If you are, though, you can use the flexibility to your advantage and leverage the great talent you're working with to propel yourself and your work forward.
