Worst Marketing Organization Ever

Pros

FireEye has a great brand, outstanding technology and world-class consulting.

Cons

The marketing organization is as dysfunctional as I've seen in my career. Marketing budgets aren't confirmed until you are in the quarter, sales people don't have access to SFDC to create marketing campaigns, website doesn't get updated with content and webinars, PR team doesn't manage customers for press releases until last minute. It takes an act of god to create local marketing programs. Field Marketing managers do absolutely nothing...no value add. Not sure why they even have jobs...we do NO field marketing events.

Need to do away with anyone associated with the former CEO

Pros

They still have loyal customers and a brand name. The new CEO is not a total failure like the last CEO .

Cons

Terrible marketing department. It is all about promoting yourself with lame home video's at SKO. Not hiring A players anymore in the HR Dept. The new crew from the past CEO came in there and ruined the organization. Can't seem to come up with new products in a timely fashion.

Began as an amazing experience where you could make an impact. Over the last year nothing got done.

Pros

Nice people below management. Free food every day. Cool offices with an open feel.

Cons

Delivery of 10-15 products a quarter is ridiculous. No sales team or customer can consume that much change. Long hours and working weekends as well to make sure the executive team delivers what the CEO wants.
