Pros

Great pay starting off , meet fun coworkers

Cons

Sometimes do not meet 80 hours a week which is really weird when scheduled. Favoritism shown in management. Call load can be a lot sometimes with little help (extended team). Poor communication and assistance from outside departments other than customer service because they are the absolute best when it comes to offering assistance.

Pros

First Bank is not a high-stress environment. First Bank does invest in the communities they serve. First Bank does value their customers.

Cons

There is little emphasis on job performance as the review process is very lax and there are many employees here with a lot of spare time and no initiative to advance or push the company forward. The most frustrating issue at First Bank is their lack of desire to promote from within. Most roles are not posted as managers hand-select their candidate (usually from outside the organization) and put them in a position without offering internal candidates a chance to apply. In other words, if you want a low stress place to hang out and earn an income this is it. If you are ambitious and want to excel, move the company forward through better processes and have opportunities for advancement. This is not the place to be. You will become extremely frustrated with the lack of ability to be promoted, increase your skill set, etc. They like to give "across the board" percentages for yearly increases with no reward for the persons who work hard or increase their skills. You get the same increase as the person managing their personal life on company time. There are many under qualified managers that like to bring along their "friends" that will not push for improvement or challenge their style.
