      Pros

      Family owned means that typically people genuinely care about one another and the turnover is nothing compared to the larger banks.

      Cons

      Because there is no turnover, advancing through the company is difficult. However, what it lacks in advancement it makes up for in job security!

      Family atmosphere,customer centric environment. Good communication and team work is fostered between branches and other departments of the bank. Clear communication coming from Senior Management in terms of company's position and direction.

      Pros

      Flexible with work schedule. Nice people to work with. Informed on latest banking goals to meet and how to meet them. I was able to work at a different branch if i needed more hours.

      Cons

      If you're a teller, it's kind of hard to move from retail banking into the corporate division unless you've worked there for about 5 years. Not allowed more than a certain percentage raise during review time each year.
