      None! There is not one redeeming thing about First Citizens. They are called the "firing bank" for a reason.

      Everything about First Citizens is bad don't ever apply they say they pay well...just so they can make your life horrible.

      Nice organization and people--but in process of a merger

      Pros

      As a veteran retail banker, this bank treats its employees better than most. It lacks the "micro-management" culture that I had become so used to; rather, it places a high value on building client relationships and offering superb customer service. Branch employees are expected to sell, but product-pushing doesn't exist here.

      Cons

      First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, headquartered inhoping some of the ProsColumbia, SC, is merging with its sister bank, First Citizens Bancshares, headquartered in Raleigh, NC. Not sure at this time what the new organization will look like, but hope that some of the Pros above remain unchanged.

      Pros

      They offer Competitive pay and benefits. Four weeks PTO to start. The offices are always beautiful building to work. It's a good family controlled bank.

      Cons

      The most unprofessional management I have ever encountered in my career. After dealing with extensive sexual harassment and no assistance from human resources I chose to leave. I would never recommend anyone working for this financial institution. More importantly I would never recommend anyone to open their personal or commercial accounts here due to the handling of confidential information by management.
