      Pros

      Friendly people with family spirit, great benefits package, and many opportunities for employees to volunteer and engage with the community.

      Cons

      Communication rifts between management levels create lots of disconnect, resulting in insufficient support and resourcing for ground floor staff. Corporate culture is geared towards aged lifers and lacks career pathing for developing and ambitious professionals.

      First Hawaiian Bank is a wonderful company that takes care of its employees. The benefits are substantial and you really feel that they take care of you like family.

      Cons

      Some of the practices regarding paperwork and book keeping seem very difficult to understand. Although the senior employees do their best to teach and train, it's difficult to grasp all of it.
