Pros

The top level management have amazing vision and inspire the groups direction. The actual people you work with are knowledgeable, friendly and supportive both in business and personal capacities. They live the corporate values and make the work experience at FNB truly memorable and fulfilling.

Cons

Firstly the lack of knowledge and people skills of the middle/lower levels of management is atrocious. This obviously depends on where you are within the organization but at the same time is not an over generalization as I've experienced bad management directly and have learned about it across different sectors of FNB from various serious conversations from other colleagues/ employees working there. A lot of short cuts and pally pally behavior does exist and this is really a type of rot that eats at the awesome people who work hard and smart to push the organization through difficult times.. its a shame to see good people suffer at the hands of sub par area managers and their sometimes dictatorial methods that conflict with the true values and ethos of FNB. Secondly some HR at various levels (including upper management) also are grossly incompetent and lack empathy or genuine people skills - and the criticism is harsh specifically because these are HR professionals that should find the balance between company and employee needs, rather than by default take only the company stance - note this is not everyone though.
