The management on-property is the worst part of this job. The residents can be awful, the work is repetitive and boring, the pay is low, but the management is by far worse than anything else.
In the few months that I saw the latest management team on my property they: screamed at, swore at, and berated a concierge in the lobby in front of a resident over a very minor issue, yelled at a different employee in a thankfully empty lobby for a different minor issue, failed to either change the thermostat or get space heaters for the lobby when the temperature dropped in winter (the residents had to give us heaters because they wouldn't), refused to replace a broken chair that an employee had fallen out of due to its brokenness (a different resident gave us his old chair because he saw management wouldn't replace it), and tried to force the female employees to wear heels. And they blame every problem on the previous management team, which is a very obvious lie. The residents also saw the way we were treated, disliked the management style, and I heard that they were actively trying to get rid of First Service at their property.
The property where I worked was a revolving door of employees once the new management came in, and they seemed perfectly fine with that. Deplorable.
