Pros

Strong sense of community between coworkers

Cons

Everything else. Upper management needs to get their act together. Turnover here is constant because we are treated like slaves instead of employees. They expect you to work 24/7 and there is no room for advancement.

Large Company with wonderful WRITTEN Goals & Values

Cons

Corporate office does not practice what they preach as far as the core values of the Company. Not helpful in the least to support Properties, actually tend to make the job even harder. Accounting Dept is completely inefficient. Processes are slow and outdated. Do not listen to ideas to change or improve. Just keep on, keeping on with the same old, same old

Office is falling apart, avoid

Pros

This used to be a warm, inviting group of people who emphasized training and development and had supportive directors invested in the success of their managers. Pay was fair, PTO generous, and bonuses given for good performance.

Cons

People with no industry experience or leadership ability were hired and inexplicably promoted to positions of great influence. The massive turnover (30 plus managers come and gone in less than 18 months) and loss of accounts should be a clue that something is very, very wrong here but nobody with any power to change things seems to notice or care. If you choose to work in this office, know that you will be handed a portfolio of properties that have probably had several other managers that year. You will receive no training or guidance, and when you are completely overwhelmed, you will be told it's your fault for not being able to handle it. Your director can't help you, because she doesn't know how to manage properties either. You will hate this job and quit after a couple of months just like the 29 people who had the job before you.
