Terrible Benefits

Pros

The company was fairly good to work for. There was a lot of opportunity for advancement. Direct management was good, but corporate was disconnected from reality.

Cons

The insurance was terrible!! There wasn't a lot of assistance from corporate. They seemed disconnected to the the properties and seemed to spend most of their time thinking up silly team building games to play.

Pros

Coworkers, location, mileage reimbursement. Allowed flexibility so I could pick up kids from time to time, provided decent healthcare and medical reimbursement for family .

Cons

Pay, lack of support, staff shortages during high turnover, overworked, small departments, unhappy employees, undervalued and corporate was tone deaf to genuine needs of employees and branch.

I learned A LOT

Business Outlook

Pros

Scheduling makes it possible for OT which makes for a great paycheck, potential for genuine human connection, learning opportunities, training and development when matched with the right leadership is very active and growth is possible here

Cons

Your training and development is based on who your matched with and if who you're matched with happens to be too busy or have too much on your plate, they may not be able to give you the type of direction and leadership that meets your specific needs, so you want to make sure to communicate the type of development style that works best for you when fielding positions and partnerships within the company. Work-Life balance gets tricky as there's a constant need for coverage and support, you job is essentially in other peoples' homes and at certain levels (admin, management, corporate) they expect you to be available at all time to "respond to emergencies"
