Pros

They manage over 1000 properties throughout the US.

Cons

There is little or no communication between properties and corporate office. Corporate office doesn't even know the property managers who operate their own little fiefdoms. Pay is low ... very low. Managers live in fear of their Boards of Directors.

Pros

FirstService Corp. is a smart company but FirstService Residential Ontario is no reflection of that.

Cons

Over the years, I have seen the company decline into its' current state. The company values are prominent, but such a joke - everything is for show and employees are not valued - you can smell the fakeness and misery in the air at head office. The moral is at an all-time low and turnover high. Games, gossip and politics take place on a regular basis. Its well known that FirstService Residential Ontario is unorganized, often cleaning/security employees don't get paid on time and don't receive schedules or proper training so it causes turnover at the properties and extra pressure on the Manages. There are buildings that have had no Property Manager for months, where APMs are required to act as PM with no extra compensation.

Pros

Time Off easily approved at all times needed.

Cons

Not worth for the pay and the amount of work. Bad Benefits. Company changes things around a lot, effects low level employees and may lay you off. Not a secure Job. Company is very unorganized and very greedy.
