Pros

FirstService Residential has given me the career growth that I could not get anywhere else. And that has been thanks to such great motivating leader - Scott! I looked through some of the negative reviews on this site, and these all seem to be coming from a small group of people in the office, who just seem like they are trying to destroy someone online. This is sad to see as I have heard this group of people talking in the office. Don't believe everything you read. FirstService is full of opportunity and driven by an exceptional leadership team. This is a tough business to be in, but the President Scott is always working for his people, giving his own time to make sure all associates have the opportunity to grow and advance. I am so thankful to be here and be a part of this team! The population of this company has doubled in just a few years, creating amazing opportunities and jobs internally and for new great associates to join the team. I always believe this growth and culture comes from how leaders treat their people!

No cons to share. As with any job, you get what you put in. Be careful of the negative reviews you read on this site. Anyone who chooses to personally name company leaders in a negative way is probably not the best person to take any sort of advice from.

Very Adaptive to their Dynamic (Condo Management) Industry

Pros

Forward looking leadership is for the most part good. They execute well on adaptive technology like computer programs, new legislation, etc. They look to promote from within.

Cons

Some people get overloaded with work. When that happens management often do not provide support in a timely fashion. Sometimes supervisors blame the messenger rather than investigate further.
