Pros
This is my second time working with Fiserv, nearly 4 years in total so far. In that time there have been so many opportunities to step up, and every time I have done that and delivered, I have been recognized for that. Including three promotions. And it's not all about not rocking the boat. One of our values is to "do the right thing" and if that means calling out a bad process or dysfunctional behaviour, we are expected to do it.
Cons
In an organization this size (some 25,000 associates across five continents), at times it can feel like being a very small cog in a very large machine; but we can still push and deliver within our own sphere. Sometimes, processes are implemented with the right intent (e.g. additional security checks on software releases) but with the unintended effect of slowing everything down too much. Common in large organizations, and I trust we can work through this.
