Pros

The below average pay gets to you on time. That's basically it. If you are fortunate enough to get on a team with some good people, misery loves company.

Cons

Hard to say more than what has been said already about how horrible this place is. The way you are monitored and tracked at Fiserv feels like high school part two: electric boogaloo. The overly expensive medical benefits are bottom of the barrel and hardly cover anything, which is ironic because working there is enough to make anyone sick to their stomach (too bad you'll have to wait in line for the bathroom due to the overcrowded office). Even if you desperately need a job, this place is not worth selling your soul and should truly be your last resort. The sad part is the people here who go out of their way to at least try and make things better or more enjoyable are the first people to be punished and shown the door. This place is a dictatorship in every sense of the word and should be avoided at all costs.

Pros

I guess you could be exposed to the financial field, depending on your position. Offered hybrid (remote on Fridays) but recently removed that option.

Cons

The management style is highly controlling. It’s possible to physically be at work, merely pretending to be productive by moving your mouse and typing, and still be seen as a successful employee. Management shows little concern for actual productivity and treats employees like children. Recently, they revoked the remote work option on Fridays, claiming it would enhance the culture (which we know isn't true!) and gave employees less than a month to adapt. They frequently lie, attributing last fall's layoffs to performance, but later admitted other factors were involved. They break agreements with employees hired as fully remote workers by forcing them to work onsite, even when there are legitimate medical reasons. They use Sapience Monitoring Software to track every computer move, doing so without notifying employees or obtaining written consent, which is illegal. Publicly, they say Sapience is used to improve efficiency, but privately, it’s used to single out non-conforming employees for termination. Upper management runs the company like a dictatorship, led by Frank Bisano, who has recently taken a role leading the Federal Social Security System (God help us!). They take pride in being considered one of the most admired companies, but it's unclear who they asked because employee reviews have worsened. Many complaints have been filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor regarding labor law violations, including the illegal use of Sapience and breaking work agreements with employees.

Can't think of worse working conditions

Pros

They pay ok, but good luck getting any raises.

Cons

**Updating from just a few months ago, yet again, Now mandated 5 days, 9 hours a day, no flexibility. Waiting for the mandate weekend work. Time for my yearly reflection on how Fiserv somehow has gotten worse yet again. I've been around 3+ years now, and roughly every quarter the QoL (if you can call at that at this point), gets worse. Some notable milestones: -Work from home to in office - my team as many others, is spread across the US so I gain nothing from this. Just drive in to sit on a virtual meeting. -Mandated from 3 days in office to 4. -Forced to move to a new office. With minor traffic or inclimat weather, it's up to an hour and a half each way. -Mandated to be in office 7 hours a day (yes, they literally track badge swipes and you get on a report if you aren't in office 4 days and 7 hours a day). -Adding Sapience to everyone's devices to monitor productivity. If you aren't "working" for roughly 7 hours, yet another report you get put on. -Enforcing you to sign an attestation, that you must PAY BACK a pro-rated version of the bonus you were paid out the year prior if you leave. That's right, what you earned, not a sign-on bonus, is required to be paid back in part if you leave the company. -Mandating 5 days in office to managers. -Mandating 9 hours in office Monday through Thursday for non-managers, 5 for managers. 10 hours in at VP and above level. This now means my commute becomes impossible to avoid rush hour, making my days 11-12 hours. If you are following along, they expet you to do 45 hours of work minimum, 50 if you are a manager. This cannot be made up on Friday. There is no flexibility in this "hybrid" work environment. -Mandating the 5 days, 9 hours in office. As stated before, this is tracked and reported, you can't just show up and work 5 and go home. They have very in depth reports with formulas about hitting the in office metrics, pto, requested wfh, hours, sapience working hours. If the combination doesn't hit 100%, this will get your in trouble - impacting bonuses, raises, etc. regardless if your manager regards you as a good employee. HR metrics trump this. Eventually, if you keep missing your target, you will be fired. A few additional notes: -They do not provide you with adequate software/hardware to do your jobs. There is so many tracking applications, security, and metric software loaded on your devices, it constantly makes them lag and be at or near max resources. -If the rumours are true, the remaining remote works will be forced to relocate to an office (not of their location choice typically), or be let go. -Some offices are so over-crowded people are forced to work in a literal conference room by one another since there isn't enough desks. The offices that you have your own "cube" (it's not a cube, it's basically a 2 1/2 foot wall on two sides, you are structured like a call center. You will hear everyone's conversations around you. There is no collaboration, just annoyance, they only force people in seemingly for tax purposes in cities. -While at a certain pay grade you have "unlimited" PTO, it's not truely unlimited, it's still very scrutinized and has many restrictions on it. You will be questioned if you are flagged on any of these restrictions. -On the above note, with the mandate of having a 9 hour workday, it's near impossible to do anything related to any personal appoinments. You'll have to use your PTO (again, not everyone is unlimited), to just do normal "life" things. -Little to no hope of any sort of pay grade boost or raise. It might be promised to you, but it gets hung up in HR on purpose, and any of the above metrics can and will be used against you. At best, at time of submission, you are looking at a year before anything occurs. -Executives monitoring what people 10 paygrades are doing day to day. Yes, there are executives at a fortune 200 company with apparently not enough to do but to listen in on meetings, see when people come and go, and get upset becauase people aren't using conference rooms enough for meetings. -There is no way to provide feedback. There is a yearly survey, but it's tailored to get there results they want. You don't get to have any input on company direction, or leadership. Only your immediate area you are part of. In conclusion, I typically would not go out of my way to spend the time to write something this in depth. I really hope my misery helps at least one other person decide not to work at this place. This is easily the worst company I have ever worked for. Employee moral is at a all time low, there is no perks, you are under constant scrutiny, and this company is lead by the worst leadership you could possibly imagine. Have pets? Kids? Family? All that doesn't matter, all your life should be is working at Fiserv. Do not work here if you value your mental health, it just isn't worth it.
