Pros

Hours are decent. Work is decent, not easy but not so difficult. Routes are different everyday so the change of scenery is nice and not typical of other local businesses. It’s been decent business during the pandemic also.

Cons

If you’re new to any job, there’s time to learn and improving should be continuous and encouraged. Instead at this business, many of the employees have been there for 5-10 years and don’t take so kindly to new-comers. Instead of ethically sharing in the training of newer employees, they would rather tell the employer they prefer not to work with the new guy because he does not work as fast - so there’s not much time to learn, no way to improve without guidance from others, and there’s no encouragement or motivation to be as good as anyone else who has put in their time. Think twice about applying if this is a first job or you have never cleaned windows before.

Pros

Flexible, good to learn so you’ll never have a excuse to be broke, independent no micro managing

Cons

May not be worth it if there’s not enough jobs to pay you what you want to make since it’s commission. If it’s a small operation don’t overstay your welcome because they will become very dependent on you and tell you anything close to a pipe dream to get you to stay....even heard of someone showing up at the employees house to get them to come back

Flexible hours Great pay as you get more skilled Get holidays off Mostly fun and relatively stress free Can work by yourself or with a partner

Cons

Winter can be a bummer because of the weather and how slow it gets (there is still usually plenty of work to get done though), otherwise great the rest of the year
