Pros
I worked at Fishbowl for two years, during my time I was able to work as an Account Executive for several technologies (they encourage promotions and continuous learning). The areas I enjoyed most about Fishbowl was the atmosphere that allowed for a completely cohesive strategy. Also, I have worked remotely recently and miss working in-office with the team as the
collaboration helped deliver better solutions for my customers. I was easily able to work with the consulting team to solve any problems I had with a client within minutes. If I had a bigger issue, I was able to walk into the President’s (Tim) office to discuss strategy and next steps, his door is
always open (or his cell phone is always available).
Fishbowl's leadership is very open to having a hands off approach, if you are performing and doing your job they allow you to succeed without micromanaging you. They offer a ton of fun team building experiences including cooking competitions, Yoga, countless company paid happy hours after work and of course a Presidents Club trip to Mexico with your significant other.
There are some challenges as with any company, but those challenges have helped me in my career. The President wants continuous learning, knowing more than you would ever think you need to know about your product.
Cons
Even though during these times it can be tough to be in the office, working with a small team its beneficial to learn from your teammates in person. At the least have flexibility to WFH when needed, but have office hours required.
