Pros

First manager I had was great.

Cons

After first manager left, the person they brought in was horrible and degrading. 2nd manager had everyone on the schedule everyday on call no actual scheduled shifts and she did not care about requesting off. So you were not able to ask off and it was really hard to work around school because she did not care

Pros

The benefits are nice, and as long as your store manager is willing to teach you and pull their weight, the job is a piece of cake. The company sets clear directives, and while they do try to fit ten pounds of knick knacks in a five pound bag, if you and your staff are willing it can be done.

Cons

If you're there for under a year, regardless of whether or not you're fired. Any vacation time used must be paid back from your final check. District management has shown to not really care when a store manager continues to be an issue, turning into high turn around.

Pros

The hourly wage was decent. Benefits were okay. Uniform is t-shirt and jeans.

Cons

They work load is very heavy. They do not offer many hours for adults who are in lower positions to survive on. The payroll department is horrible. If you pay needs correcting for a pay period, it can take months. They go back peddle when it comes to what's in their handbook concerning vacation time. They also let customers Rob them blind, as long as they keep coming back to the store. Their buyers buy uneccesarily and don't understand stores need more manpower to get the amount of freight out that comes twice a week on regular season, and daily during the holidays, with shoe box sized stockroom. Their freight receiving system is archaic. They also require a reset of departments at least once a month, which is crazy for such a small box store.
