Pros

Good coworkers, good business model

Cons

Owner is an alcoholic bipolar lunatic Poor starting pay Unsavory business practices, my salary was cut to 50% before getting laid off the next day, so that they wouldn't have to pay out my vacation time at my full salary. Should have filed a complaint w/dept of labor but I didn't want to burn the bridge quite yet. In hindsight, flame on.

Bias company

Pros

They have good medical benefits and 401k match is good.

Cons

Even though they hire you as full time, they do not give full time hours. They say one thing and do something else. They pay way below average and don't have a standard pay range. Career opportunity exist depending on you race. Time off is 1 week which is accrued. At the end of the 1st year you get 1 additional week for sick time.

Pros

The company respects and treats its employees well. I've also worked for their main competitor too, but Five-Star is different, and much better.

Cons

Staffing could be better. Sometimes they expect you to wear different hats in your operation and you may not get additional help. Pay could also be better, but that's how it is in the entire hotel AV industry.
