      As far as speciality retail is concerned, Fleet Feet is a wonderful company to work for.

      Pros

      Due to the store being speciality, customer interaction is extremely personal. As an employee you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and witness the positive effects that your knowledge has on your customers.

      Cons

      Customer interaction has the potential to be horrible. If you aren't a runner and apply for a position at a Fleet Feet store, then you may be overwhelmed with information. Not a good job for a shy person.

      Pros

      Compensation was about what you'd expect in retail. Perks are AWESOME if you like free stuff! Coworkers were great and fun, and management was always there to support and challenge personal growth. Great place to work while in college. Fun place to work and great place to learn customer service! I loved working at Fleet Feet and I will always be grateful for my time there.

      Cons

      Had to work on some weekends and definitely wished my pay check was a little larger. Some customers are ridiculous but that's life, and it gives you great learning experiences and some really funny stories!

      Great co-workers, making a positive impact on the community, helping customers solve problems. Third-party discounts and working events.

      Cons

      Absolutely no breaks of any kind even during an 8+ hour shift. No raises. Un realistic expectations for amount of pay. No positive incentives offered for hard work. Owners not present during key busy times, instead they are off doing their own races. Owners show favoritism towards certain employees. No opportunities for growth. Very disorganized. Owners do not pay mileage or even compensate for travel time when you are asked to work events or meet with vendors. Owners can be very rude and disrespectful to employees.
