Pros

- Large organisation, so increase job security overall - Pay for new employees can be competitive - Opportunities for a higher position if applying from outside the business

Cons

- No pay increases - Unobtainable targets for bonuses - Pay cuts below minimum wage during covid lockdown 2020 - Threats of cutting pay if further lockdowns occurred - Increased workloads for existing employees instead of hiring new employees - New health and safety policies that remove blame from the company and place responsibility entirely on the employee - Promotions only for employees of 15 or so years, only lateral transitions otherwise
