Pros

Typically very easy work. Weekly pay. Insurance isn't bad. If you just come to work for a paycheck, you'll be okay. Overtime opportunities as long as customers are running.

Cons

Typical shop drama. You'll learn new things about yourself that you didnt even know. Dismal training. Favoritism. Stagnant Pay, even with rising inflation. Not rewarding good work ethic and tolerating bad workers. For newer employees, theres little opportunity to move to different departments or shifts. Point system needs reviewed. If you or a family member has a medical condition, stay away. Unless you use FMLA after 1 year of employment, they will not excuse any absences (even emergencies). You can leave work due to an emergency and they will still point you even with documentation. Some supervisors are good to you as long as you do your job, some get away with verbally assaulting employees and excessive micromanagement. Take the luck of the draw. If you get hurt on the job, they find a reason to make it your fault instead of paying for medical care. Forklift drivers hit operators and won't be punished. If you quit during the year, they will make you pay back some used vacation days. While being layed off due to covid in 2020, they took our some vacation days away from us. They send paint and mold defects to customers instead of fixing the robot or press issues causing it. Sometimes overtime work is mandatory. Some people who do particular jobs are forced to work mandatory overtime for months on end while the rest of the department isn't required (not fair).
