Pros

Flow does offer decent insurance but it is own by Flow. The retirement plans in place are pretty good and they do offer certain benefits that help. There are certain jobs in the company that are very beneficial. IE sales department, the finance department and anything to do with the selling of cars. The lack of attention is at the service side of the business. For an automotive technician flow is not the way to go.

Cons

This is a place to clock in and sit around and wait for work. If you are an automotive technician you would know the flat rate system. Flow's theory is that it does not cost them to fill each shop up with as many as techs as possible. Because auto techs are paid on a Flat Rate/ Commission system. In turn we auto tech do not have a guarantee pay or base pay. Thus the work has to be distributed to each person but what happens is that the work usually slows down around mid day. Flow implements a variable pay system, so in term your base pay does not even matter. Certain jobs which is most jobs pays below your standard pay rate, as low as half your rate. Some jobs only have a set dollar amount you get paid for. The facility is very Ill equipped, the current shop VW of greensboro does not even have a working parts washer. Special tools are a even bigger issue, we are expected to purchase our own special tools to perform jobs. Even if the special tool is supposed to be provided by the dealership. Everything in service is neglected from the people and the equipment. Some equipment required for warranty purposes do not function as they should. With very little support form managers It is very difficult to turn time and have a good financial situation to pay my bills. Most employees are treated as just a number in the system. Intern it creates an environment that is a dog eat dog situation. Most individuals can not change things so it turns into a every man for themselves situation. There are multiple safety hazards and environmental hazards present in the building.
