Great Co-Workers, Some Company Tweaks Needed

Pros

People-your coworkers are very smart and have a sense of ownership. This is a great bunch to collaborate with. Because it is a start up if you have a good idea, you can see that idea come into fruition and people take ideas seriously. They respect mental health and actually encourage people to take time off.

Cons

Pay-while not bad, it is not great for a tech company. In order to keep top talent you have to increase pay. Lack of clarity around career advancements . Clear processes are still needed(we have improved but it's a work in progress)- sometimes it takes too many departments and people involved to solve one issue.

Pros

- Comparable Pay - Respect for my time after hours (ex: not asking for on-call duties/ people to be available on PTO) - Focus on Mental Health and employee care - More benefits than someone could realistically use in their lifetime - Wonderful support network - Extremely healthy company culture

Cons

Being an Account Manager, you are expected to wear a lot of hats, you have to be the Billing Expert, the Integrations Expert, the Sales Expert, the Logistics Expert, you need to be prepared to perform studies and projects and presentations for your accounts while handling support tickets and emails because the Customer Support team was recently phased into the Account Management team, all while juggling 5+ internal meetings per day, along with booking and preparing for meetings externally. It is a lot of work, and I wish I could say that I get a lot of support with it, but it is a bit hard to get answers quickly from other departments and warehouses. Additionally, there are too many platforms/methods for communication and information, lots can get lost in the mix and can get pretty overwhelming.
