Pros

Pretty good pay. Pretty good benefits. Lots of fantastic people to work with.

Cons

Deeply rooted in DEI initiatives (engaging in discrimination). Deeply rooted in ESG initiatives. Often poorly organized and chaotic. High turnover rate. Long hours, heavy workloads. Unlimited PTO that you feel you can never use. Lacking clear and understandable expectations and communications. Often very poor direction and conflicting information. Effective collaboration often times lacking. CEO has very poor approval (for reasons).

Pros

Can only speak about Fluence Digital Software (Mosaic product) unit and not Fluence Battery business. There has been highs and lows. generally speaking, AVOID working here if you are looking for 1) stability 2) competitive compensation 3) collaborative teams 4) chance to grow long term with a product With that said, there are worse places to work. I think it's a great place if you are 1) an Energy market expert and can contribute to algorithmic development. There is a lot of exciting development in this topic. 2) You don't care about personal relationships with co-workers 3) you don't mind working long hours and/or odd hours because of off-shore teams. - Flexible PTO - Friendly co-workers for the most part. - Genuine and smart people. - Chance to work on tech-forward products within Energy Industry - Start up culture.

Cons

- Odd culture and style of management. - There has been high turnover, both from layoffs and jumping ship. - I've had 5 different bosses in 2 years. - No promotion within. Leadership/Managerial positions are highered externally. The cost to the org is immense. - The investment strategy in software/digital business unit has been indecisive from leadership down. - Everyone is burnt out. - Layoffs.
