Pros

A lot to learn in regards to microbiology/food safety testing methods and opportunities to be cross trained in multiple departments

Cons

Sometimes long hours. Training can take awhile due to how busy it can be.

Pros

times were good when lab comes together

Cons

Reasons i left mainly beacause lazy people are allowed to keep working here. You have lazy people working here who get rewarded and mgmt doesnt care. There is alot of people like this and they include the complainers who wont work anything but 8am through 5pm and supervisors who was hired as supervisors who does nothing but the least amount of work required. Everyone at the lab despites them and it was the worst decision that corporate has made to hire them straight as mgmt. good job vice president also raises need to come more often to keep peple motivated becuz the amount that is paid vs worked is poor

Pros

I have been working for FSNS for almost 4 years now. I love the environment my department has created. I love the opportunities my manager continues to provide me with. I have learned so much working for this company. I was a college grad with no real lab experience, and they decided to hire me - for that I am thankful. I will highly recommend this place to college graduates looking for a place to gain some lab experience.

Cons

There are times where clients will request for RUSH TAT - in these situations, I have left like management will tell us, "do what needs to be done to get results out", HOWEVER, if we go over hours then we get written up for it. There is a lot of responsibilities given to us above all the testing, above all the data, and they expect us to do it within an 8-hour shift, which is basically close to impossible. I know that corporate has no idea how the lab process works, from login in a sample, to adding it to bench sheets (ensuring all testing codes are correct), to testing the sample, ensuring the results are correct, entering data, releasing reports. For this reason, I feel there is a strong disconnect with corporate and the labs. Once again they expect the impossible. I have seen way too many good employees leave; there is high turnaround for a reason. LISTEN to your employees. Also, compared to other labs the pay here is terrible. Seriously, starting technicians at $13/hour.
