It allows you to place a check mark next to the "Do you have x years of lab experience" box. All sorts of free food.

Cons

-Overwhelming work load - Overtime hours ( can easily exceed 50+ hours weekly) - Constant sensation of feeling behind - Turn over rate - Compensation feels inadequate and is unequal across employees

Yes, the workload in our industry is a bit unpredictable due to unexpected food safety issues or increased production by a food processing plant. Unfortunately, weekday nights and weekends are our most busy times. Our customers depend on us to determine if their products are safe after they complete their production day. Friendly management and fun co-workers. Exciting work environment. Free food after testing is done.

Cons

pay was too low. Most employees were college graduates and it sucks because the work is fun but all that school for nothing.
