Pros

Good place to start if your a new graduate. There is a lot of different test that are performed and so you experience grows.

Cons

My schedule was Tues thru Sun. From 4pm to 1am but it was more like 4 until then job gets done. There is a lot of responsibility place on individuals working this shift but are not compensated accordingly.

Pros

It allows you to place a check mark next to the "Do you have x years of lab experience" box. All sorts of free food.

Cons

-Overwhelming work load - Overtime hours ( can easily exceed 50+ hours weekly) - Constant sensation of feeling behind - Turn over rate - Compensation feels inadequate and is unequal across employees

Thank you for your comments and your employment at FSNS. Yes, the workload in our industry is a bit unpredictable due to unexpected food safety issues or increased production by a food processing plant. Unfortunately, weekday nights and weekends are our most busy times. Our customers depend on us to determine if their products are safe after they complete their production day. We appreciate your comments about reviewing the pay of our employees who have microbiology and chemistry degrees. This will be further discussed and reviewed. The more that you know about our business and our customers, the more valuable you are to FSNS. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for further discussion or comments. I appreciate your daily efforts at FSNS. John W Bellinger, CEO FSNS
