Pros

The only benefits you will find for working at FSNS IT are different areas you will gain experience in. Since the department is run extremely lean, expect to gain experience in infrastructure, networking, database, reporting, ETL, as well as helpdesk. You can be exposed to many technologies to keep your skills sharp. Education is highly encouraged at FSNS, and tuition reimbursement is available. You will generally like the people you are working with if you enjoy a team dynamic.

Cons

- You will be hired for one specific reason, but be reduced down to a task worker. I started with FSNS 4 years ago as a System Admin. When I started working, I was essentially help desk. Soon I was given more System Admin level projects to work on, while still being required to work the help desk. When I accepted the Buisiness Intelligence Role, I was still required to work help desk and Sys Admin work. - You will be put in a horrendous On-Call rotation. Expect to receive an average of 10 calls a week. FSNS is a 24x7 shop and the IT department provides basic end user troubleshooting to 17 (and growing) locations. You can expect to be called because someone doesn't know how to perform their job function and have been told to call the IT department. - Always changing priorities, with no clear sense of direction. - Extreme lack of personnel. Everyone has to work much harder because there is no sense of urgency in adding additional staff, or to replace staff that has left/been terminated. - Upper management will micro manage everything you do, and still find a way to tell you that you are the reason something went wrong. - There is no IT acceptable use policy, and users are not held to any standards. - IT is not perceived well in this company. Because of the lack of resources and frequent downtime/application issues, IT has a reputation of not being competent. - The company is growing its business steadily year over year, but seems unable to invest appropriately in their corporate staff. It feels like "Do more with less" - Management likes to prey on those that are entry level who don't know how corporations work. Companies that want to succeed know that you have to staff appropriately, and treat employees right. Do NOT let them convince you that corporations run this way, they DO NOT.

I hope you will consider removing this post. You have been afforded every possible opportunity to stay with FSNS as well as various venues to voice your concerns. I have viewed your exit interview, I have knowledge of various conversations with members of the HR Team and other leaders to include the owner of the company. I also have a copy of the document you prepared. I have had discussions with the owner and CEO in regard to your concerns. I am not sure social media posts are a good vehicle to further get your point across. I am personally committed to look into your concerns. You are someone who has been highly regarded – the company has worked with you on many different fronts – both personal and professional to include time away from work/assistance, increased skills, responsibilities, growth and pay. In fact, you stated the following in the following in your recent communication: “FSNS has been a great entry into IT. From my perspective I wouldn’t be where I am today without this job.” Yes, we are a customer focused, 24/7 business. At the same time we are also an employee focused business, hence your ability to gain assistance at all levels of the organization up to our leaders and owners. In the time you have been here you have seen significant change and more change is coming to further build the business and the IT Team. There is no “pretending” in regard to dealing with issues, building the business, building the IT Team or the level of service needed for our customers. I hope your new role meets your every expectation. You are welcome to reach out to me directly – I know that you have all of my information. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Pros

I dont know i was a lowly worker promised alot of things that never happened. Not sure there are any pros, the insurance is very high, you would pay less out of pocket than get insurance for a family

Cons

I mean its comprable to working at mcdonalds. none of the holidays you have to work are paid extra, they short change you every chance thwy get, supervisors consostently alter your timeclocks to prevent overtime pay. Corporate tells them to do this behind closed doors. I know this because I have a friend who works at corporate. They are bananas just like the HR department who could care less about the employee or customers. We only got 50 in gift card for the christmas bonus again while corporate executives got a minimum of $1000 each. They are as i speak on a 2 week vacation at the grunt employee's expense. They like to fire people who talk too much including a few of my friends. When i left they begged me to stay but after my friend got fired, i said screw that. This company promises you things and never delivers, they do this to keep you there as long as possible. Only when you threaten to quit will you have a chance at getting a raise. This company is highly unethical.

Feedback from our employees is very important. We take concerns seriously and investigate each one. Our employees and our customers are at the center of all we do. The things that you are commenting to in your post are completely false- to include your statement on bonuses. In fact, you and I have talked a few times. You know that our customers operate 24/7 and with that, expect us to operate similar schedules to fulfil their testing needs. We will continue to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged, valued and appreciated. You may contact me directly since I know you have my contact information. Thank you. Pros

No pros of working here unless you like lieing behind the customers back all the time

Cons

Lol dont even know where to begin. The company is ran by a bunch of old men aka boomers that wont listen to the young employees. They like to fire people who dont conform to their ways and wonder why nobody stays for very long. Quit allowing customers to be lied to on a daily basis, you have already lost many customers based on this alone and yet you dont care because your huge christmas bonuses get paid out to you anyway. When the lower employees are still getting 50 dollar bonuses.... Quit being so cheap and get a new executive team including the ceo if you want the company to survive.

We wish you the very best in your future endeavors. We appreciate all kinds of feedback and we use it to make continued improvements. We look into all concerns and address them as appropriate. I like you, am not sure where to begin. Though in my case it is where to begin on an appropriate response. Our employees and our customers are at the center of all we do at FSNS. For our employees, we continue to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged, challenged, and growing. For our customers, we continue to provide both quick turnaround times to meet their expectations coupled with accurate results. There are no hidden secrets here and we do not lie to our customers in any way, shape or form. FSNS is a very diverse company – run by employees/managers, etc. of all ages and backgrounds. If you were actually a recent employee then you probably have some awareness of the following: FSNS spent well over 100k on year end/Holiday bonuses, the company sponsored a Holiday Party at each facility (at a cost of over $80,000), we awarded $500 per lab for an Employee of the Year – a non-manager (I assume you were not the recipient since she is a current employee), we will now have an overall employee of the year (non-manager) in which we will pay out $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place), we pay out longevity awards to employees, give service credit to veterans, have spent over $60,000 on tuition reimbursement, we have a monthly event budget per employee, paid time off, wellness incentives and programs, etc. These numbers don’t say cheap to me and I know I have missed a number of other programs, but this is a starting point. So, again – I wish you the very best in your new job and hope your new company offers you even more. At the same time, I need to thank you for allowing me to use your post to get the word out on all we do for our employees at FSNS. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Bob Cox, SVP HR.
