Pros

it is a job so you get "professional" experience, but at the cost of your soul and well-being.

Cons

Almost everything about the job: the pay, the bosses, the work load, the work environment, the choosing which OSHA laws to follow (and which to not follow), the management, being lied to about promotions/opportunities because they'll just hire externally, the unnecessary meetings that irrelevant to the job I am paid to do, the rampant favoritism, using your pto immediately without your approval to cover your sick days, etc.

Pros

You get some relevant experience, but it takes a few months for them to actually teach you important tests. You get experience working with LIMS. Good coworkers for the most part.

Cons

Terrible management, bad pay, unrealistic expectations, get your experience and leave!
