Pros

Its easy to get hired because there is a high turnover rate people dont usually work here longer than a year maybe

Cons

Almost as bad as fast food. Same type of labor environment. Most days i do not get to see my wife due to getting home late at night because of the mandatory overtime that is required. Dont recommend anyone putting in their applications. They will write you up for the littlest things.

Your feedback is appreciated. Your comments don’t particularly resonate for this location. Though, as you know, for a number of our lab locations our customers operate 24/7 and with that, expect us to operate similar schedules to fulfil their testing needs. We continue to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged, valued and appreciated. I hope you have discussed this with your manager. He is very receptive to feedback as you already know. You may also contact me directly to discuss further. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR.

Pros

There isn’t any pros to working for Food Safety Net Services, especially after management, corporate, HR, and CEO told us to write fake “happy and positive” reviews.

Cons

I am shocked and appalled that Food Safety Net Services is requiring their employees to write to Glassdoor and post fake and untrue reviews that express “how wonderful, amazing, and what a great place to work” it is here. The company has really gone down hill in just the past 3 years, and forcing us to write fake reviews is the icing on the cake. I am disappointed in FSNS would even come up with this idea rather than talking with their employees and actually solving the real problems that we face. They only care about turn around times and speed rather than details, accuracy, proper use of methods, and most importantly their employees health and happiness. We not allowed to leave from work until every single sample is finished, leaving myself and many others to pull 15 hour shifts straight every single night without a chance to take a lunch. Mistakes are always made and overlooked and much of management’s duties are brought down upon uncertified techs to do it. Samples oversit days longer than they’re required to be or are thrown away unknowing and the whole lab goes into panic. Instead of being honest with the client and making it up, fsns sweeps it under the rug and finds excuses to make it the client’s fault. The pay is a joke even with a full bachelors degree and benefits are all my paycheck pays for now. If FSNS is going to offer benefits, at least make up for it with higher pay. Whoever audits FSNS really needs to do their seriously and vigorously because we all wonder how the heck it is still up and running with so much of the shady, under the table things that happen. I just hope in the end they take everyone’s concerns seriously, actually take a step back, look at the big picture and details of its own faults, and change everything for the better of the employees, clients, and the consumer. But all FSNS cares for is the paycheck from the clients, so I don’t see change ever happening.

Many of your statements and allegations are concerning and candidly completely false, specifically those directed to and with our testing procedures. We would never change results, throw samples away, blame a client, etc. and full transparency is how we conduct business. We have very specific procedures and protocols here – regardless, I will be sure to share your comments with the TM and Quality Team. Next, many companies encourage employees to share their experiences on Glassdoor, though the intent is never to use this venue or other social media outlets to solve concerns. You were never asked to write fake reviews nor was anyone else and you know that. You state that you are a San Antonio employee – with our offices here you have endless opportunities to discuss concerns to include in-person or phone discussions with the CEO, President, myself, the SVP, RLM, VP Quality and Training and even a phone call to an employee hotline number – these are all part of our Open Door Policy. Customer service AND our employees are at the center of all we do. I have shared your post with the RLM as well. While what you are saying here does not add up, I hope you will take the time to walk over and talk with us. If that does not help you, then let me help you find something else that is more in line to what you are wanting to do. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Pros

Good at first. Things go down the drain after you get past 3 months. The ceo buys food for us every now and then, but they should add it to our paychecks instead as they are below standards.

Cons

Gotta say i was a bit surprised when HR asked everyone in the company to write a good review here so i figured i would check it out. So ive been going through the good and bad reviews and i have to say most,if not all, of the bad ones are true. I don't know alot about what goes on at the corporate office but they are for sure pathetic for begging us for good reviews. I mean what do you expect, the schedules are changed every 2 weeks, it's a slave environment, and you can barely afford the benefits to name a few cons.

I will be certain to forward your review to the San Antonio Lab Leadership Team so that they are aware of your concerns. Hopefully you have taken the time to share your concerns so that positive changes can be made. We work hard to have activities that build camaraderie and engagement. As always, those activities are completely optional. About a year ago – through our lab managers – we suggested that employees consider posting feedback on Glassdoor. Many companies do this. There were no incentives offered, there are still no incentives being offered, no one is being coerced, no one has been written up and we all know feedback is anonymous. Your “slave environment” comment is inappropriate on multiple levels. Since you are in San Antonio, how about visiting with a member of the HR Team to talk through your concerns so that we can properly address them? Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR
