I was in customer service so I had to sell shoes.

Pros

People are pretty chill, a lot are very interested in big shoes like air jordans and such. If you sell a lot you can get comission on those sales.

Cons

You have to sell shoe accessories which is not always easy. You have to sell insoles as well as shoe cleaners. There's competition between sellers.

Pros

Started making commission pretty quickly. Flexible hours working around my study schedule. The job is what you would expect, nothing too hard, just sell shoes.

Cons

Managers were reasonable but the district manager ruled by fear and intimidation. If the store manager is competent and sales are good, there is no need to micromanage and overscrutinize the little things
