Pros

Fun, Cool Shoes, Cool Employees, good location for me atleast.

Cons

No future growth in the company after SM. Pay kinda suck if you don't make bonuses for how much work it is. - Stores are always short-staffed, and the corporation gives no hours to spend.

It’s always great to hear that the team, store culture, and of course the sneakers are highlights of the role. At the same time, you’re right to point out that staffing, pay, and growth opportunities matter, and your honesty about those challenges is valuable. Thanks for giving such a balanced take on your experience!

We’re really glad you made use of the employee perks and that they added some value to your time here. Totally understand how important it is to feel supported by leadership, especially in a store manager role. Thanks for everything you brought to the team, and for sharing your perspective!

Pros

Good for first time managers, will face some issues but working here does not have to be hard. I had a fun time during my time at under the footlocker umbrella. Worked at Champs sports and kids footlocker as well. Shoe community is great and discount is great if your a big shoe head.

Cons

Depends on where you are. The higher volume store means more challenges, like higher goals and more staff to manage. The bigger team, means more personalities to manage. But that's a challenge for every manager. It will be repetitive, but head office will think of competitions between stores for prizes. Some of their prizes are really good. But only 1 winner and you will be competing against the big volume stores. Big volume stores usually win.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your journey with us. We’re glad you found value in your leadership experience across multiple banners and appreciated the culture within the footwear community. We know managing larger-volume stores can come with added challenges, and we appreciate your perspective on compensation and internal competitions. Feedback like yours helps us grow, and we truly wish you continued success as you move forward.
