Pros
- Most people are great, and fun to work with - Work life balance can be excellent if you are effective enough in your position - The transparency the company has is awesome. All you need to do to get answers is just ask the relevant people, including management. - A lot of room to express personal interests in each position
Cons
- Less than competitive salaries and almost no benefits - Employees are treated as a resource rather than employees - No defined short or long term vision. - No real product. - Lack of planning on all levels throughout all departments. This causes confusion and creates a lot of overhead when tasks are being cancelled, changed, pushed forward/backwards etc. This might also lead to employees being disgruntled when all the work that have been invested is suddenly not relevant anymore - Hard work and employee dedication compensates for organized processes and automation. This is not sustainable for long periods of time, and causes erosion. - Priorities are set based on extinguishing fires, and not planning - No company values or agenda - The feel is more of a dictatorship rather than a company. All VPs fall in line with whatever the COO (which is one of the founders) says and thinks
