A great start at a new company

Pros

Overall, I am happy working with this company. I was treated with great respect during the interview process. The starting pay and benefits is awesome Interesting work. Engaging contents. Great team to work with. Awesome PTO for work-life balance. Overall, I'm excited to work for this company.

Cons

Had a rough start. It was mid transition on migrating servers and processes. Documents for new hire's to get familiar with the product were outdated and it took a bit of time to figure it out. However, I was warned that this was going to be the case. Some issues around bonuses and 401k matching did come up recently. It has me somewhat concerned. However, I feel that I'm in good hands and it will work out.

Pros

- 5 weeks PTO, although now allegedly and officially we have "unlimited PTO" - affordable health insurance coverage - 401K matching up to 4% (when they actually do it)

Cons

- The "unlimited PTO" is not unlimited. - In 2022, I incurred $22K on health costs without having any major events. - In 2020, Forcepoint preemptively eliminated the 401k matching benefit, "out of an abundance of caution" of course, because ...I mean... everything was just so unprecedented with the pandemic and everything. Yet 2020 proved to be another record year in terms of YOY growth. Did corporate come back to us with the millions they didn't pay out? No. I can't imagine that the millions Forcepoint saved by vanishing our 401K matching benefit in 2020, rendered any kind of desirable results with respect to accounting. At the end of 2020, Forcepoint was acquired by Francisco Partners. Talk about timing and luck! - Jan 2023, this just in: Forcepoint will pay out the 401K matching benefit from 2022 in 2 installments this year, 2% now, 2% in August. But will they actually pay out in August?

Pros

Great company and staff, outstanding products. Benefits and salary are very good.

Cons

Although a market leader, many government folks don't know us by the company name, but the products.
